Jeera Rice

Hindustani Handi Jeera Rice is a simple, fragrant rice dish flavored with cumin (jeera) and cooked in a traditional clay pot (handi). The handi enhances the aroma and flavor of the rice, making it a perfect side dish for rich curries, dals, or kebabs.

• Wash the basmati rice thoroughly until the water runs clear. Soak it in water for 20-30 minutes and then drain it.
• Add cumin seeds (jeera) and let them splutter. Then, add the bay leaf, cardamom, cloves, and cinnamon stick. Stir for a few seconds until the spices release their fragrance.
